Another stonking edition of this essential distillation of all that is relevant in this field,congratulations to all concerned.
My one query was whether others felt the lead article to be somewhat unbalanced and harking back to a time when treatment was for many a crock of ....
Not saying that all is perfect, still some way to go, but drug workers do not have a monopoloy on being miserable, no more than nurses on promiscuity and drunkenness.

I'm a Nurse sorry I have to drink and be promiscuous I've no idea how to help and no idea how I might be promiscuous and I'd get found out anyway.

I take your point perseverance, however this was meant to be one users perspective on services, and not necessarily representative - maybe we should have had a disclaimer. Its an interesting one because it the perspective of a service user who as a result of this experice was inspired to become one of the directors of the social enterprise that has now got the contract to deliver all the treatment services in her locality.

The author mentions interviewing 2500 drug users in the article which suggests that the piece is based on more than one persons view.The idea of a disclaimer certainly has some merit.
