Tempted initially to do this as a poll but there are so many variables that a yes no answer simply cannot capture everything.
Should service users attending routine appointments receive expenses for transport/
One team I have heard of is suggesting that if there are no mobility issues travel expenses are not refunded for return journeys of less than 2.5 miles.
I have also heard it suggested that the "loss " of this money is one of the resons why service users are sometimes reluctant to move to shared care.

I think we have had this discussion before. People are funded for Hospital appointments but not for GP/Clinics as the clinics are supposed to be local.
Public transport is not cheap these days and if someone provided me with a budget and someone to pay out bus fares, then i'd be happy to do it.
