Jimi,
it is normally recommended to change all benzo's to diazepam, it comes in various different strenghts and so it is easier to reduce the doses. I have not seen a dose conversion for Clorazepate nor do I remember seeing it prescribed, but this is probably due to it not being available on an nhs prescription.

I'm not sure in this case. I have not come across tranxene either. However if the person is extremeley stabe, uses nothing else and doesn't want to come off at this point in time it might be better to transfer her to the most similar benzo that's available on the NHS. I don't know what that is though.

TRanxene was discontinued in feb this year. It is a benzo which is completely metabolised to nordiazepam. It was made by Boehringer ingelheim so their medical information may have conversion equvalents to diazepam

spoke with the client earlier. her G.P. put her
on diazepam, 5mg per day. she reported it was a
tad strong. so she handed them back. he then
presribed 4mg = 2x2mg per day. she seems fine!
shes keeping a very good diary. so if some
adverse affects do creep in, she be able to coherantly present. but it looking good.
