Have any of you non-medical prescribers been through AFC? If so I'd be interested as to where you have been banded!

Band 7. Mine was job matched by the PCT - one of the panel said 8a, others 7, so I got 7. Prescribing isn't recognised in AfC - we take it on for no extra pay!

The chief Nursing officer also mentioned something along the lines that it's just part of the extended role of the Nurse. I have seen people banded 8a though as prescribers. I'm officially a G grade but i'm paid a bonus on top of that so I do quite well.
I don't think people realise how hard the prescribing course is, it's not just like popping along to Uni. it's a really hard course at degree or masters level study. I know it was harder than the work I did for my RMN.
