Have recently completed the nurse prescribing course and my colleague is just starting, we are the first in our service to have done the course. We now need to look at protocols for supplementary prescribing within the CDT and ammending our job descriptions to incorporate the new role. Can anyone help? Also has anyone been rebanded under afc as we are currently band 6 the same as drug workers. If anyone has anything that may be of use or pointers for starting up it would be greatfully received

The protocols I did were for everyone who prescribed within the practice as I didn't see any point to have separate ones. I am not banded but I do get paid more. I know a nurse in Leeds who is band 8a but she is a team leader/prescriber.
