Just keep wading through the treacle. Bound to be some sponge cake somewhere in there.

Keep us informed.

Keep handwritng them I say! Being a basic person, and hoping that I soon get some more blue MDA forms as they are nearly all gone, and we are having the same old problems in getting more!

Beverley,
Computer generating should make things easier for us, and if you got a box of 500 blank fp10mda then you would not have to worry so often as to whether they will send you any more.

I know. One of the admin people here got on to EMIS about the nurse prescribing today; told we will be able to access it when they have sorted out the "bugs in the system" I wonder how long!

Beverley,
they sent me the details of how to put it on the system it is done. Just not generally released. I just need to clarify because i think it will not let us do supplementary prescribe cd's.
Phone them yourself tell them you know other practices have it!.

How pathetic! Presumably you still handwrite the lilac scripts do you? I just do "B" for by hand on the computer, like with the CD scripts.

Yes still handwrite the lilac scripts, but if the computer is configured for nurses to prescribe then we can use the green computer ones. This makes me wonder why we had lilac scripts to start with?.

Hi simon, they are a 'different' colour because they will stand out as a 'nurses script' so extra care will be taken to make sure the pin is on it, your mother's blood group, competency of years, any other identifier that will make YOU SAFER because nurses cannot be trusted to do a doctor's work yet... maybe?? That's why nurses have to jump more hoops than Billy Smart's lions to be given the 'Honour' of ye olde pen of power...lol

Well,
it is legal for us to use the green computer scripts if the computer can manage to put your pin number, mums maiden name, favourite pet's name and shoe size on. But the software has took so long to develop that if i download it onto our system it will not let me do the cd prescriptions as it says on the documents that nurses can't have the handwriting exemption.
Bythe way there is a load more emis codes out will post them if i can.

Well ok, now they agree we can prescribe controlled drugs. This is a new development though and so people have to write to them to request this!!!!!. I thought this was what we had done!!!.
I do not know why this is so difficult for them. So if this new development takes as long as the last one will i be able to computer generate rx's before i retire?.
Blood just about at boiling point with this shower of ...................
