Well what whispered in to prescribing is this month two years old. I wonder what peoples reflections are ?
One of mine is that from a team of me and a GP, now we have three Nurses including myself, plus 5 dedicated GP sessions. I'm sure this would not have happened if not for Non-medical prescribing. I note some peoples worries were reduced need for Doctors, but in fact our need has increased.
Some reflections from Pharmacists would also be of interest.

I have written a reflection of 2 years of substance misuse nurse prescribing for Nurse Prescribing journal; hopefully it will be published soon. If anyone wants to see it I am happy to email it to you.

Two years down...and we are still to start using Nurse prescribers, for quite a prosaic reason. The trust employing the nurse prescribers have not yet been able to amend job descriptions. I dont suppose anyone out there is willing to share with me their jd? I will then blatantly cut and paste into our existing jd's and forward it to our HR dept for them to peruse and consider the implications for 6 months...
