If you haven't attended one of these days then this is for you - Jenny Keen goes through all the lastest evidence around methadone (and is a complete star!), Jenny Scott is wonderful on the pharmacy issues of methadone, Kim Wolff explains the science of methadone like you haven't heard before and John Howard (who some of you may of heard at the conference) is fantastically on one person's experience of treatment (good and bad!) If you are interested contact Terri on drugmisuse-enquiries@rcgp.org.uk or 0207 173 6091 - hope to see you there!

Very Fortunately, as of this a.m. this very popular event became available to me. Terri has kindly offered(prov) me a place. Smile
Does, plesae don't laugh, any info guidance anyone can give me RE potential funding for this marvelous event.
I wil go anyway, all being approp+willing, yet it would be great, if not almost essential, to get some assistance just with the attendance cost. Travel is obviously s/thing i could manage.
As i said i will/would love 2B there, no i will be there but as present income is 7k p/a as a p/time CMHW for non stat org and nowt as a f/time s/u rep/activist/student advocate. etc.
Best

Derby was excellent Thanks. I must say great venue and very Cool
John great to see and hear you again and sat on the station waiting for our respective trains discovering the common ground we share was very heartwarming cheers.
I thought all speakers were terribly good and very much enjoyed the groups and case study.
Great input from all i felt on such a hot day.
Just one last thing apart from thank you to Terri, Chris i think your 'senior' moment at conference RE urine tests, if i remember correctly, was because you elluded to the fact that YOU trust your clients as much as the tests if not more, ??? is that right?
Suffice to say great day, v.much recommended CPD.

By the way RE funding/ass i recd none. Tho a very kind, in fact an amzing Humane Being(and Gp+ he said quickly so not to allow discretion stop himself) offered to pay the day for me out of their own pocket, i am led to understand because they believe in me and my potential future. That was worth me spending the £150 to discover that. You know who you are and i truly hope i did not offend as when your probable reasons were pointed out by mutual friends i feel that is a real risk now. Mind you that was not a carte Blanche refusal of 'help' from anyone to be frank. Just a considered situation by situation dec. You are a star tho you crazy man 'or woman' Big Grin
