I have just received notification of this public consultation, as I expect many of you have too - details can be found at: http://www.nta.nhs.uk/areas/value_improvement/default.aspx I haven't had much of a look at it yet, but it appears to be about suggesting model treatment systems, with, more importantly, model COSTS - they make many assumptions and want us to tell them if they are realistic.
One colleague in leeds says: "This is potentially a really important document that will shape all our services (and costs) in the years to come".
Closing date is Jan 9th 2009

Susi, any idea of the timetable for the NTA clinical governance document yet? It could get useful up here the way things are going. (12 month treatments again, but "optional" this time)

I've checked on this and the clinical governance docuemnt is at the final drafting stage. It should shortly go through the NHS gateway (which can vary in terms of timescale), but we anticipate before the end of the calendar year.
