Surely you are not suggesting that setting up a meeting in a city centre venue, with a lunch laid on, to hear about how a particular pharmaceutical product has been used elsewhere, presented by people who have trekked across the world just to share their knowledge, will in any way influence a prescriber's decision as to the choice of medication suitable for a particular service-user?

The BNF, now that is something to watch out for in terms of influencing prescribing.

Hi Jim and Si,
I think you're both having a brainstorm..
"I've just had the forthcoming event brought to my attention. Its free as its being organised by 2 drug companies. However it does look quite interesting. Its in Manchester on wednesday 13th feb so its a bit short notice"

Saw it first time myself... perhaps short notice means sighted??

I wonder if they want someone to go to Australia to talk of the British experience of prescribing it? Finland is also i'm sure nice.

Too short notice or I would have probably gone.
