The NTA has recently published a self audit tool for partnerships togauge how they are performing vis a vis developing sevicesin primary care. I think it would be useful for members to look at it so that they can be aware of how commissioners are being asked to evaluate their performance and so that primary care stakeholder know that this is happeneing and try ensure that it is done properly.

Also feel free to comment on the tool as it will be updated and modified on an annual basis. We can pass any comments on to the NTA.

I hadn't realised this had come out Jim.
i'm not sure my commissioners had either.
Are they being expected to complete it as part of this round of treatment planning then?

yes, but I think it is voluntary at the moment and really for their benefit and self- assessment. So its not really being put over as an expectation, rather an opportunity. Having said that I think it is a great opportunity for raising the profile of primary care development and also to get a feel for what is happening all over the country. A similar self audit tool has already been intrtoduced for harm reduction.

Its not actually that tricky tofill in in my opinion (or IMO to show that I know internet shorthand)

Hi,
I think this is a very good tool for self auditing, especially services taking off in developing Primary care led services.
