I have to say that this is very worrying.
Daily Dose is one of the most fantastic services I have ever used.

What can we do to prevent this (other than putting our hands in our own pockets of course -which I will try and get round to doing)?

subscription service. I would pay a small personal subscription, but I'm sure they could charge a large organisational subscription. The end user should pay surely

I could not agree more. This invaluable resource must be saved.I think £100K will keep them afloat? When you consider the cost of all the conferences many of which recycle the same old same old, this represents excellent value.
Where are the NTA when you need them?

It is serious, but I suspect there will be some good news shortly. Though where are the devolved administrations of Wales, Scotland, and northern ireland when you need them? Smile

Hats off to the NTA and other organisations who have helped to secure this invaluable resource.

And re-rescued for another year, history is truly repeating itself. Agree it wouldn't be good to lose it. Hope they can find a more permanent solution this year, must be stressful going from hand to mouth like this!
