Does anyone know if clients are allowed to take subutex to Saudi?
Have tried without success to get through to the embassy today thanks |

thanks that is helpful I thought someone may have experience of this with their own clients
wouldn't want one of our clients to break Saudi law in case the punishments are severe |

I would have thought buprenorphine would be fine, if labeled as for pain relief?
He/she would certainly have pain if they did not take them, so in this situation I would judge it would be clinically acceptable to change the dose instructions to indicate they are to be taken for relief of pain.. they will needs a letter from you indicating dose etc, and should keep this in hand luggage, in same place as the tablets.Tablets must be in original container with their name and above instructions on the label.. Obviously your patient will need to assess the risks themselves, given this information. I also use this website for info for globe trotting patients and have found it very accurate in the past. Lots of my patients have taken medication to Pakistan, which has a similar prohibition according to the website, and none have come to grief, but I am not aware of anybody going to Saudi. They probably have American cruise ships going in, full of people on oxycodone, don't they? |
