hi all,

i hope some out there can help. i am currently looking at assisting our local inpatient detox unit improve its prescribing guidelines for detoxification from heroin or opiate substitutes. I have always worked in community settings and was wondering if anyone was aware of specific guidance available or had any advise relating to an inpatient setting.

You could of course look at the NICE guidelines on detox!! They are in draft form at the moment - the consultation ended today - final version will be due in July, but the draft should give some useful pointers
